tbh, I don't get audio rooms at all. Like a telephone conference call with people I don't know.

I think it's just coming down to earth. Ultimately, as you have mentioned in your broadcast MJ, if any of these apps aren't acquired or have the backing of a larger social network already its very hard for them to continue in the long run. And now with Facebook entering with their own audio version we will see that this is true. Periscope had the backing of a social network and still went down. With Clubhouse lacking that I think it will follow the same fate.
