Is there a way to use an NDI camera in Prism Lens? I can get the device recognized in Live Studio, but can't seem to get it to recognize in Prism Lens... And if the answer is no, is there a way I can use the background remover in Live Studio on the NDI device?
Thanks for your help,
Kevin

Re: NDI in Prism Lens?
Hi Kevin, This is Jake from the PRISM team.
I’ve forwarded your inquiry to the development team, and they’re currently looking into it.
And I'll get back to you on that soon.

Re: NDI in Prism Lens?
If you download and install the [NDI Camera App], the PRISM PC app can recognize the device as a [Video Capture Device] source.
The PRISM Lens app also functions in the same way.
1) PRISM PC App: Add an NDI source -> Start PRISM VCam with the NDI source.
2) PRISM Lens App: Select PRISM VCam -> Enable virtual background (VB On) -> Start Lens VCam.
3) PRISM PC App: Add a camera source -> Select the Lens VCam.
If you do not download the [NDI Camera App], the apps will only recognize the device through NDI sources.
The [NDI Camera App] confirmed by the PRISM development team is available here:

Hope this helps you. thanks.

Re: NDI in Prism Lens?
Hi Jake, thanks for your reply. I'd like to clarify a few things in your answer, because I tried following your steps but got stuck pretty quickly.
Is the "PRISM PC App" you're referring to the PRISMLiveStudio app for macOS? I don't see any other options so I'm assuming so.
I tried following step 1, and I'm stuck at "Start PRISM VCam with the NDI source."
I can see the NDI camera as an option when selecting NDI Source and clicking the "Source Name" dropdown. I do not see anything else in the Properties pane that resembles what you're referring to as "Start Prism VCam".
If step 1's suggestion is to just select the camera source, and then step 2 is stating to then select that NDI source in the Prism Lens App, unfortunately it's still not an option (this is what I tried before posting about a month ago.
Please clarify these steps and I'm happy to follow along. Thanks for your help

Re: NDI in Prism Lens?
Hi Kevin, It seems like you might not have initially added the NDI source in the PRISM Live Studio app.
Here are their setup instructions:
1. In the PRISM Live Studio app, go to the top-left hamburger menu > Virtual Camera > Configure Virtual Camera.
2. Select [Source] as the option for [Output Type].
3. Under [Output Selection], choose [NDI Source].
4. In the PRISM Lens app, select [PRISM vcam].
5. If you want to remove the background, you can use the virtual background feature in the PRISM Lens app.
6. Add the Lens app's source to the PRISM Live Studio app.
Hope this helps you.
